Position Summary

The primary function of the Product Manager is to manage the company’s product development efforts. The Product Manager’s secondary function is to serve as a project manager in support of product and company-wide initiatives. The Product Manager collaborates with all business units to create and maintain a product roadmap by identifying and analyzing which product modifications or creations need to be prioritized based on business needs and value added. The Product Manager reports to the COO or their delegate, and requires access to Class 1 and Class 2 data.

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as product management expert, owner, and facilitator to ensure key product initiatives are clearly scoped with agreed-upon outcomes, milestones, and efforts
  • Bring project management expertise to product management and company-wide initiatives
  • Provide real-time, energetic collaboration between departments to ensure alignment and focus in a fast-moving startup/scale-up environment
  • Utilize best practices in product and project management, including systems, processes, and applications
  • Create highly visible accountability systems to elevate company-wide awareness and support of key initiatives to promote collaboration, transparency, and success tracking
  • Support COO key company-wide deliverables in a direct reporting relationship while remaining flexible to support other executives on matrix-driven projects
  • Become an “EOS” (Entrepreneurial Operating System) expert and advocate internally
  • Maintain a “best-in-class” product/project management mentality to facilitate and support company-wide growth and efficient scaling
  • Collaborate with technology to create strategies by which technology will be developed or adapted to meet market needs and leverage opportunities. (e.g., Buy/Build decisions)
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, overseeing interdepartmental activities to execute plans
  • Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases
  • Analyze product initiatives for ROI and business impact
  • Perform agile task breakdown and requirements definition in support of engineering backlog
  • Become a subject matter expert in organization’s products and markets
  • Work across business units as needed to develop product training plan internally and externally
  • Act as a product champion within the company

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a product management role
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving and analysis
  • Ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and report business financial needs and requirements with product/project needs and requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Must possess manual dexterity in order to produce reports on a computer, and other information needed by business
