Position Summary

Reporting to the Carrier Relations Manager, the Carrier Relations Specialist validates negotiated rates to ensure rates are incorporated into contract amendments. You will attend carrier calls to serve as a sales support. This position responds to ad hoc requests to provide support with regard to Carrier onboarding projects. As a Carrier Relations Specialist, you are accountable for, onboarding, training and facilitating support for existing relationships with our Insurance Carrier Partners. Reporting to the Carrier Relationship Manager, assists with growth and administrative responsibilities. In addition, you will participate in the monitoring and improvement of the overall carrier experience across all Covered functional areas as it pertains to working directly with Covered and reporting cadence. How you accomplish your results is as important as the role itself and working in collaboration with internal partners and across departments to ensure new carriers are properly onboarded and appointed inappropriate regions in alignment with our virtues is mission critical.

Position Responsibilities

●Handle initial licensing and renewal processing, help develop non-licensed and licensed on-boarding SOPs, and ensure all agents are licensed appropriately at ALL TIMES
●Work with carriers to provide necessary information for agent and agency appointments
●Communicate Carrier objectives, news, changes, etc to all stakeholders within Covered
●Work closely with Carrier Manager and Implementation teams to ensure seamless onboarding
●Provides administrative support to Carrier Relations Manager to monitor Loss Ratios with our Carriers and update DOMO on a monthly/quarterly basis with the information
●Manage and Maintain Monday carrier contract and commissions repository
●Confirm all commission reporting has been transitioned to new commissions@itscovered.com
●Retrieve all commission statements and clean them for the Finance Team
●Provide the agency any updates to underwriting guidelines, product changes, or appetite
●Help create and/or maintain shared carrier logins, bot logins, agency logins
●Identify new opportunities for expansion, retraining, or development
●Helpfind new carriers by cold calling or emailing
●Coordinate new carrier launch trainings
●Work with Analytics to build carriers dashboards
●All other duties assigned from time-to-time

Experience and Education

●A college degree or equivalent experience would be nice.
●Active Property & Casualty License in good standing.
●3+ years of experience in the Insurance Industry.
●2+ years of experience working in an Agency Operation training role.
●Previous experience with Applied/EPIC or similar AMS system and Comparative Raters preferred.
●Demonstrated strong technical and computer skills with an emphasis on Excel/Google Sheets.
●Keen attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
●Words and grammar are important, so professional and effective communication skills are required
